Kent School District の4公立高等学校の内の1校。1981年創立。マスコット：Conqueror…Kent, Washington はイングランドのケントに由来している。マスコットはケント伯がノルマン・コンクエストの際、征服者の一員であったことに因む。スクールカラー:　校章の色である、黒・緑・銀。

【 Kent School District 】
Kent にある公立高等学校の設立者及び、管轄地域。日本の教育委員会に相当するようだ。1999年現在　Kent-Meridian, Kentridge, Kentwood, Kentlake の4公立高等学校が所属している。次のクリントン氏の文中に「3校」とあるのは1994年当時のことであって、その後、生徒数の増加に伴って、Kentwood高校の校区が二分され、Kentlake高校が新設された。

Kent, Washington is a medium sized town twenty minutes drive Southeast of Seattle. Kent encompasses a large area and contains everything from large shopping malls and apartment buildings in the Kent valley to numerous lakes, streams, golf courses, and farms above the valley.Kent is home to a large Branch of the Boeing Airplane Company and many residents of Kent are Boeing employees.Because of the many lakes and streams, fishing, water skiing and swimming are popular recreational activities in Kent. Many Salmon migrate through the streams of Kent, so large parts of Kent area are protected green areas known as wetland. Kent is also less than an hour's drive from skiing, camping and Vast National Park recreation areas in the beautiful Cascade mountains.

Kent's good location has made it rapidly growing community that now supports three large High Schools.Students in America automatically go to the high school in the area they live without taking any tests.They only exception is if parents choose to pay for their child to attend a private high schools but there are few private schools (none in Kent) and this situation is rare. The newest of Kent's high school is Kentwood High School. Kentwood High School is on the Eastern edge of Kent, close to the Cascade Mountains and surrounded by both farmland and residential communities.The Kentwood High School athletic fields have a superb view of Washington's tallest mountains: majestic Mt. Rainier. Kentwood opened in 1981 and is a clean modern building. Kentwood teaching staff is very good and a large number of Kentwood graduates go to college. Kentwood also has a good vocational department with well supplied automotive, electrical, metal and wood shops.All students are free to take classes in these fields and everybody must take at least one.In America students take Drivers Education at their high school and Kentwood's Drivers Education course uses driving simulators as well as cars. Kentwood has the honor of being one of the first High Schools in the country to offer Japanese as a language and 1st 2nd and 3rd year Japanese are taught. Kentwood's athletic facilities are among the best in the states.
